About Me

I was born in Los Angeles, CA and basically lived in LA my entire life but moving around constantly.  My parents never really stayed in one spot for too long.  I am gay and not ashamed of it.  It is not my choice to be gay, if I had the choice I would have the wife, 2.5 children, the successful career and the picket fence but that just didn’t work out so here I am.

I currently reside in Bakersfield, CA in a nice little house with a huge pecan tree on the side.  We (meaning Chip and myself) moved to Bakersfield to take care of his mother Opal Arp in 2000 and took care of her until she passed on in 2004 and decided we would stay.

My hobbies include doing basic crafts like plastic canvas and crochet and wood burning.  I also love to play video games with my PlayStation Portable “PSP”.  I’ve been a gamer ever since I was a pre-teen playing Pac Man on my Atari 2600.  I never really grew up lol.

I used to play a game called EverQuest originally made by a company named Verant but sold to Sony Online Entertainment.  I played for 6 years and had lots of fun but the fun had a shelf life apparently and so I quit.  That is where the name Xanapus comes from, it was my first character that I ever created.  A Gnome Wizard.  Ever since then I’ve been using the name Xanapus all over the internet.

I bought the domain Xanapus.com probably in 2003 a year after I started playing EverQuest because I was tired of all the advertisements that Tripod was putting all over my homepage and I’ve had it ever since.  I basically have just used it to showcase my crafts and pictures of family and links to YouTube and stuff.

In 2007 I started blogging so I created a form for myself to log in to that was basically a guestbook form but in a folder that was password protected so that I was the only one who could type in anything.  I started out blogging 1 or 2 times per month because I didn’t really have that much to say.  I was basically using it as a personal diary.  But then I started talking more and more.  In early 2007 the blog grew and I added a new page with a new guestbook form for me to blog about Big Brother.  Then late 2007 I found out about Word Press because I wanted an easier way to blog so I installed it and imported all my blogs (copy and paste) and here I am.

I now usually blog daily but some days I just don’t have anything to say.  But mostly I can’t shut up and blog anywhere from 2 to 5 times per day.  Suddenly my life is all about blogging.

My visitors seem to all come from Google and some have even subscribed to my blog using the RSS.  Anyway, that’s about me.
