Hedwig’s Theme For Old Cell Phones

This is more of a note for me.  I recently bought a new Nokia 3390 (actually used) cell phone to replace my old cell phone and since my old one had this ringtone and the new one doesn’t I had to search for the ringtone for the composer.  This is the ringtone that I had to enter into the composer:

Harry Potter Hedwig’s Theme:

Tempo=125:8.c2, 16#d2, 8d2, 4c2, 8g2, 4.f2, 4.d2, 8.c2, 16#d2, 8d2, 4b1, 8#c2, 4g1, 4-, 8g1, 8.c2, 16#d2, 8d2, 4c2, 8g2, 4#a2, 8a2, 4#g2, 8e2, 8.#g2, 16g2, 4#f2, 8-, 8#d2, 4.c2, 4-, 8g1

Just in case I need to find that website again or if I want to use another ringtone here is the link:

Update: Ok this sucks major big time.  The website I got this from is gone.  But, for me it doesn’t matter because I’m probably going to be upgrading my cell phone soon anyway.  Most people don’t have these old cell phones anymore because they all have iPhones or blackberries or whatever the latest cellphone is.  So, it’s all good.  At least I was able to paste the song into here for future reference.

Skype Phone Number

Well, I’m sorry to say that I will not have a phone number for Skype. I refuse to pay $24 a year to have a phone number when I wont have it turned on enough to need a phone number for it. And that was with a $30 discount. And I’m not even sure if that discount was for the first year or not. I’m not going to have Skype running or even have the PSP running constantly so it’s just not worth it.

If I want to use it to call someone it will only be because either Darrin is on the phone and wont let me use it or if were not even home and I am too cheap to use the cell phone and we are near a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Which reminds me, I am gonna need to find out how to use the AT&T WiFi hotspots with my PSP. I know it works with my laptop but I can’t get it to work with my PSP. T-Mobile has Wi-Fi hotspots too but since I get AT&T hotspots free because of my DSL why pay more when I will probably only use it once a year you know? I’ve yet to even use it as it is.

PSP GPS

WOOHOO I just read at www.pspfanboy.com that the GPS for PSP is coming to the US in 9 months YAY! I can’t wait. If the GPS is coming in 9 months the camera and tv tuner wont be too far behind. You know what this means don’t you? That will make the PSP the ultimate device.

As it is the PSP is a mp3 player, a picture viewer, movie player, game machine, website browser, cell phone and internet radio player. All we need now are the GPS, Camera and TV tuner. The PSP already has the camera option in the pictures menu so we don’t need to worry, just plug in the camera and were set.

EDIT: Ok, I just read some more news, the camera for the PSP will never see the US so you have to buy it from an asia website and unfortunately it’s back ordered lol.  But I have a camcorder with a SD card that I can do video on mini DVD’s as well as take pictures with the SD card so I don’t care about that but the good news is that the GPS hardware is coming this holiday season which is faster than 9 months.  It’s more like 4 or 5 months which is awesome.  I can’t wait because when we take trips I have to use my laptop for our GPS and it gets hot sitting on my lap and if I have the GPS for PSP I can just get a mount for it.

Off the Grid… Well, Sort of

I bought a solar charger that is small enough to put in your pocket and can charge your cell phone or ipod or psp or any device that has a a/c plug in it. You can charge it in the sun which takes about 6-8 hours to fully charge it or you can plug it in to the a/c or the car cigarette lighter and it will charge in 4-5 hours which kinda defeats the whole purpose of being off the grid but what can you do eh?

The reason I bought it is because it is portable and there have been a few times when my phone died because I forgot to charge it and I ended up in need of some way to keep the battery alive while still being able to leave the car (charger) to go into a building or something and still have the ability to make a phone call.

eBuddy

I was looking at an article on “AIM Today” today (it’s called AIM Today and I read it today lol) about PSP (PlayStation Portable) and it was called PSPotential and it was like a list of 12 things you can do with a PSP.

One of the things was this thing called eBuddy which is a website and you basically can use either your cell phone or psp or whatever device you have, sign up with them and you can add all your IM programs to it like AOL, Yahoo, MSN, Gtalk and MySpace.

So since I’ve added all those things (I didn’t have Gtalk – from google – so I signed up for it lol) all I do is sign in with 1 name that I created for eBuddy and it signs me into all 5 IM services. And what’s cool is I can chat in an IM with someone or several people with my PSP. This makes it nice when I’m sitting in the living room and wanna chat with people.
