Clearomizer Burnt Taste Problem Solved

I bought this Blue Changeable Coil Clearomizer in September from SmokTek.com.  I was so happy with it because I could finally taste the e-liquid flavors.  The atomizer and cartridges that came with my e-cigarette were horrible, but the Changeable Coil Clearomizer was awesome because I could taste the flavor with every hit I took.  It didn’t last very long at all and I was quite disappointed.

I think I got a few days of vaping out of it and then all I got was a burnt taste and I haven’t really been able to enjoy my e-cigarette since.  It’s been a month since I was able to enjoy it, and here is why.  It’s my fault, plain and simple, but I didn’t realize it until today.

This is what happened.  I added some more e-liquid to the Changeable Coil Clearomizer and then I was looking at it and noticed the tip was on crooked, so I went to unscrew it, but it ended up popping out.  I was confused because it’s supposed to unscrew.  I looked inside and I could see the rubber washer sticking out between the threads.  I realized I had tightened it too much and the tip came out because the little metal ring that has the screw threads on it (I know I’m using the wrong terminology, forgive me) wasn’t glued onto the tip, it must snap on or something.

I got the screw ring from the tip unscrewed and put it back on the tip and popped it back in place, then put the little rubber washer back on the tip so I don’t lose it.  I looked inside the clearomizer and noticed there was another washer inside there that was sticking out, it’s the washer that ensures there is suction when you put the tip in so that it doesn’t spill out (I am assuming).  I tried putting it back in place, but that didn’t work, the only way that would go back into place is if I had taken the metal ring off of the plastic of the clearomizer, and that didn’t unscrew, so my only option was to pull it out.  I figured the rubber washer from the tip would keep it from spilling out, and it has worked so far, so I didn’t see an issue.

I put the tip back on and all was good, but then I started noticing that I was getting a burnt taste.  It never even occurred to me that it was probably because I pulled the rubber washer out that was built into the clearomizer.  So I went to the SmokTek website and bought 5 new coils, but they only had two options, 1.8-2.1 and 2.4-2.8.  My clearomizer is the in between which is 2.1-2.4, so I was kinda screwed.  I didn’t know what to do, so I bought the lower one, 1.8-2.1 and they came and I got a burnt taste immediately with the first hit.  I toughed it out, but I couldn’t take it anymore, so I put another one in and got the same thing.  UGH!  It took a few days for those to get to me.

I kept going back to their website until they had the coils that were 2.1-2.4 and I bought them, and it took a few days to a week to get to me and they weren’t even the right style.  I emailed them and got no response.  I waited for a couple of days and nothing.  I went to their website and emailed them directly from there and finally got an email.  They told me to send them back and they will send me the right ones, so I did.  Naturally they didn’t send me the new ones until the ones I sent them arrived, so that took about a week and half to get the new coils.  I got them yesterday and they still give me a burnt taste.  So my theory about the 1.8-2.1 being wrong wasn’t the issue.  That’s when I realized that by pulling the washer out, I screwed it up.

Now that I know that I am the reason that I’m having so many problems, I understand that I need to buy a new changeable coil clearomizer.  So when I get my check, I’m going to do that.  I’m going to buy 3 more changeable coil clearomizers so that if something happens to one, then I will have 2 backups.  Also, I will be able to vape 3 different flavors when I want to.  The reason I will buy 3 is because they aren’t expensive, and they are under $10 which means they will charge me a $1 fee if I don’t spend $10 on my order even though it will be over $10 with shipping.

It really irritates me when I am that stupid that I can’t even tell that I am the reason that something doesn’t work.  I will have to wait until Friday and it will probably take a week to get to me, so I look forward to being able to taste the awesome flavors of the Zeus E-Juice liquids again.

Scrubbing Bubbles Power Sprayer

Scrubbing Bubbles has really gotten my attention with this miracle product. I know it as the Scrubbing Bubbles continuous sprayer but it’s really known for it’s “extend-a-clean” feature.

Look, I don’t care how long it keeps its surface clean, I’m just impressed that it cleaned my impossible grout. Ever since we moved into Chips moms house in 2004 I have been struggling to find a grout cleaner that works but have been very unsuccessful.

I have tried countless products (which I can’t even think of their names right now) along with elbow grease and a good strong scrub brush and have had no luck. That is until tonight.

I was doing the dishes and I looked into the empty drain board and saw how dirty it was. This happens every so often where the bottom of the silverware part gets all orange and same with the bottom part of the thing and you spray cleaner on it and scrub it with all you’ve got but it just doesn’t come as clean as you would like.  It’s the best you can do so you either live with it or toss it and buy a new one.

I thought, I have this Scrubbing Bubbles continuous sprayer, I wonder… I sprayed it on and went in the bedroom for a few minutes. Went back in there and got a clean wash cloth and started wiping it off. I figured I would have to use the scrubber but I thought, let’s see where this wash cloth takes me. It wiped away as if I was wiping a fresh spill off the counter.

So as I was doing the dishes I thought, I wonder if it will work on the grout on the counters… hmmm let’s see. The grout is really bad, almost black and it looks terrible. Recently I took a picture for a paid blog post for ampm secret menu of a sandwich I created on that counter. I was mortified at it but it was too late, I had already eaten the sandwich by the time I uploaded the picture to the computer. Here it is.

As you can see on the left, the tiles are really bad but on the right they are really clean. I wish that I had known how good this scrubbing bubbles cleaner was BEFORE I took that picture which went on the Facebook page for ampm lol. I was mortified before but now I’m double mortified that it could have been prevented.

Oh well, there’s nothing I can do about it now. You can be damn sure that this is going to be my mission tomorrow, to get the rest of the grout on all the counters this clean.

Cracka Please

Why is it ok now for African-American people to call white people cracker all the time?  I want to know why this is accepted!  That is not a compliment.  They are calling white people cracker just like white people called them another word that begins with a N.

I’ve never called a “black” person a name in my entire life.  Nor have I ever called a Mexican person or a Jewish person or an Indian (not native American but they count too) or an Irish person any race a derogatory name.  In my ENTIRE life.

The reason I’m blogging on this subject is because I went to the grocery store this evening to buy some dinner.  I was standing at the express lane check stand and these 2 women got in line behind me.  One mentioned that she forgot the cracka’s and the other said oh I hate cracka’s.  They said the word cracka (not cracker) about 15 or 20 times and they didn’t just say the word cracker, they said the word cracka with attitude, they accentuated the word as if they weren’t really talking about food.  It just sounded very racial to me.

I’m not a paranoid person either but it just sounded funny that they said it that many times you know?

I understand that a lot of black people are angry.  I get that.  I really do understand because what their ancestors went through is enough to make anybody angry but come on, it was hundreds of years ago.  Lincoln freed the slaves get over it.  Yes black people were treated very poorly even in the 1950’s and 60’s.  They weren’t even allowed to marry white people in the 70’s and I’m sorry for their loss of freedoms.  But what they don’t understand is that, I wasn’t around during the time of their oppression.

My family wasn’t even in this country during slavery times so I have nothing to do with what their ancestors went through.  My mother’s side was in Ireland and Scotland and my father’s side was in Germany.  I have nothing to apologize for because my blood didn’t spill their blood.  My blood line wasn’t racist against them either so back off.

If anything, I’m the one being oppressed now, not just by the African-Americans but by all of America especially California because the government in California is telling me that I cannot get married so take that.  Black people weren’t allowed to marry white people until the 70’s well guess what, I can’t get married either in 2009.

It’s the year 2009, we are halfway to 2010.  Don’t you think it’s time for racism and sexual discrimination to end?  How about all discrimination?  Hows about we make a deal kay?  I won’t call you any names (as I haven’t my entire life) and you don’t call me a cracka anymore kay?  Thanks.
