BREAKING: Whitman confirms she’ll defend Prop. 8 in Court

I just got an email from EQCA saying this:

Dear Michel,

Yes on 8 supporter Meg Whitman has stepped up her anti-marriage equality campaign.

Late yesterday, she joined Attorney General Candidate Steve Cooley by saying that, if elected, she will use the state’s vast resources to defend Prop. 8 in court.

Make sure Whitman and Cooley are not given the opportunity to reverse California’s position in the federal Prop. 8 case.

Whitman says she will cut the budget due to lack of resources, slashing services for those most in need. Yet, she has no problem using the state’s limited resources—your and my tax dollars—to advocate for discrimination against two people simply because they are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender and in love. Shame on her.

Meg Whitman was quoted in the Sacramento Bee, saying:

“And I think the governor, the attorney general today has to defend the constitution and has to enable the judicial process to go along and has to enable an appeal to go through. So if I was governor, I would give that ruling standing to be able to appeal to the circuit court.”

We need to defeat every candidate who believes that discrimination belongs in the constitution. It’s wrong. It’s un-American.

Let’s keep California on the right side of history, and equality.

Urgently,

Geoff Kors
Executive Director
Equality California PAC

I find this disturbing because California is already broke and she’s going to drain what is left to stop gay people from being happy? How ruthless, how hateful, how f’d up is that? Is she that anti-gay that she’s going to bleed this state dry to show how much she hates gay people? Same goes for Steve Cooley. I think they need to get their priorities in order, seriously.

I literally want to vomit, that’s how sick these anti-gay people make me. To think, I might have voted for her based on being CEO of eBay.

Queens of Drag NYC is Official

It’s finally official. The Queens of Drag tweeted this just now:

Hello? It’s official folks – You’ve been asking and we’ve been DRAGging our feet to release the news, so check… http://fb.me/BpZrvp4A

That link opens to the Queens of Drag page on the gay.com website. The new reality show about these “Queens of Drag” will be appearing only on gay.com. I had hoped for logo but no such luck. But the good thing about it being on a website is that you can stream it anytime you want instead of being tied down to a particular date and time.

I still don’t know what the show will be about, I can only assume it will be similar to the “Real Housewives of…” with all the drama and reality of these female impersonators.

They always say, don’t judge a person until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Well, don’t judge a drag queen until you have walked a mile in her high heels and by walking I mean watch the show lol. You know you’re drag-curious.

Rainbow eBooks – My Heart is Within You

I said that I would buy a book from Rainbow eBooks on August 3rd and I did just that. The book that I chose was a vampire novel because I love vampires and since this website sells gay ebooks then I get the best of both worlds, a gay vampire story. “My Heart is Within You” is part 1 in a 3 part series called the Triquetra Trilogy.

It took me a week to read it because I could only read a few chapters every day. The reason is that I had to read the e-book on my computer via Mobi pocket Reader. If I had an e-book reader then I probably would’ve finished a lot sooner but my eyes can only take staring at the computer for so long.

I loved this book. It was a bit strange at first because every chapter was through the eyes (or mind) of a different person. Well, the 2 main characters anyway. The first chapter was Kristair (the vampire) and the second chapter was Jacob. When I started reading chapter 2 I was very confused because I wasn’t expecting the book to be on Jacob. After the 3rd chapter when I was back on Kristair I knew that it was going to be this way throughout the rest of the novel and I learned to adapt.

It is listed under gay, fiction, romance, fantasy and horror. I would have to say that if you are a gay man who loves Vampires, this book is for you.

Every vampire story ever told seems to be different and this is no exception. In Twilight the vampires skin sparkles in the sunlight and they don’t burst into flame for some odd reason. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and Angel) the vampires burst into ash when they get killed. Just as any vampire novel, they need blood and this was no different.

The main character, Kristair, who is an ancient vampire can do things that not a lot of vampires can do such as being able to walk through walls and communicating with their vessels (Jacob) with their minds. He also passed along a lot of abilities to Jacob when he gave him his heart (hence the title) such as being able to heal right away after being bitten and evidently his blood must regenerate too because he doesn’t die from lack of blood. Jacob also has a lot more strength than most humans do because of these new abilities.

Unfortunately the end of this novel came to a grave ending with the death of Kristair. This isn’t the end of the story though, it’s just the beginning. There are 2 more books, Haunted By Your Soul is the 2nd book and Our Sacred Balance is the 3rd and final book.

I won’t be able to get the 2nd book right away because I have some other books in line but I will buy it in September. I’m doing that to give my eyes a rest from the LCD screen. I would much rather read natural paper or an e-ink screen.

Trantasia

We just watched this show on Showtime called Trantasia which is a beauty pageant.  But unlike Miss America, it’s with transsexuals.  The contest was the “Worlds Most Beautiful Transsexual Pageant” and it was from 2006.

I watched it because I thought it was interesting because I am a part of the gay community and so I wanted to watch it.  But I found it interesting how these people live their lives as a female whether it be pre-op or post-op.

This one person said, and this really pissed me off too, “my husband of 7 years and I performed homosexual acts” and something to the effect of “I don’t have anything against gay people but some day they are going to have to answer for their sins” or something.  Uh, hello!  You are gay!  Don’t kid yourself honey, you are a homosexual with tits.  Whether you have a penis or a mutilated penis turned into a fake vagina, you are still a dude.

I understand that men who feel like they are really women need to have the surgeries and stuff and I don’t have anything against that but I do have a problem when they turn against their own people.

This was supposed to be the “World’s Most Beautiful Transsexuals” but most of them looked like crazy drag queens ready to do a show and so naturally they didn’t win.  The final 8 were picked because they were the most believable looking women.  The rest were not picked because they still looked like dudes in dresses with tits.

Naturally the ones who lost were saying that it was rigged and they claimed sabotage and one of the African-American ones claimed that racism is still alive lol.  Hon, it’s not racism, it’s not sabotage and nothing was rigged.  First of all the one who claimed sabotage looked like the biggest drag queen of the millennium.  Don’t kid yourself, if anyone sabotaged you, it was you lol.

The winner was the most believable looking one and she deserves her crown and title.  To the rest of them… dude, what a drag.

Day Without A Gay

Today is Day Without A Gay day.  That means that all the gay people are “supposed” to call in sick (or gay) and not work today and not even spend any money today as a form of protest because of Prop 8.

I don’t really have to go to a job every day so that isn’t a problem for me but I do support this protest.  For example, I barely have any food in the pantry and fridge but I will eat tuna and egg salad sandwiches for lunch and dinner if that means I am helping out.

Prop 8 Undecided

I’m still waiting to find out about prop 8.  I heard that it’s 55% for yes and 45% for no which is not good news but they said that it would probably end up in court again.  This issue is never going to die.  The christians are going to constantly be against us and it just shows gay people that we are still very much hated and we have so many more years before we will ever be accepted.  It just makes me so sick to my stomach that the people that I thought liked me ended up voting yes on this issue.  It let’s me know who really like me and who doesn’t and I will never look at them the same again.  I will also never step foot in a church again as long as I live knowing every single one of them voted yes on this.  A yes vote on prop 8 is a vote against gay people in general.  You can argue with me all you want but you know it’s true.
