Notes:

  • The gold that I have isn’t shiny like the gold you see in the picture.
  • The patriotic has 2 sides, one side the red on the top is bright, but the other side it is dark so for studs there are 2 choices, dark or bright.
  • The Neon Orange is kind of translucent.
  • I am out of Rose, but more is on the way.

Here is an example of some of the colors that I have worked with.  Here is the rainbow keychain with red, neon orange, goldenrod, neon green, baby blue, purple and clear, black or white in the middle and clear on the outside.  Here is also the matching dangle earrings with the same colors.

I have also made the rainbow earrings with white and black in the DNA style.

Here is the Red, White and Blue patriotic stud earrings so you can see how that looks, you can also see that I have the ability to make them with plastic studs or stainless steel which are both hypoallergenic.

Finally here is what the Tie Dye looks like with Glow in the Dark in the middle.  Of course you can’t actually see it glow in this picture, and the glow in the dark is from an old roll that I bought many years ago, it’s not the new glow in the dark that I have not yet gotten.  Of course this one is not for sale, but if someone did want me to make one to buy, I could make the color in the middle any color you wanted.  I cut the fringe really short with this one because it curled up way too much.  I made this one in the crinkle cut fry style because I wanted to be able to see the it glow and I wasn’t sure it would be as visible in the DNA style.

5-Hour Time Lapse – Red Lava Lamp

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BuXTJBAD2w

I have loved lava lamps since I was a kid when my parents had one.  Since I saw it every day, the novelty wore off so I kind of took it for granted.  I never had one of my own until this Christmas when Darrin bought one for me.  We watch it every night because it is so mesmerizing, so I wanted to do a time-lapse video of it so I can see it at really high speed.  Oh yes, I am enjoying my new lava lamp.

The background by the way is a pillow case because my wall is plain white.  I probably should have bought a tie dye t-shirt to put up against the wall, but this was all I had.  I think it looks cool anyway.

The Fresh Air Fund

Remember when it was summer and time for summer camp?  Well the Fresh Air Fund worked hard at the beginning of summer this year to raise enough money so that 8,000 children could go to camp in the New York area.  Here are some highlights.

httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8Vs1R3JYzA

It looks like the had a lot of fun.  As you can see in the video they did a lot of tie dye which is actually a fun activity.  We did that when I went to band camp in 1981 so I guess it’s something that never goes out of style.

What I’m most happy about is that they got to go swimming.  Well, for them anyway.  Me, I had to suffer.  Why can’t they have adult camps?  Hehe I kid.  No but seriously, where are the adult camps?

Hey if you want to follow the Fresh Air Fund check them out on Facebook and Twitter and you can also visit their website www.freshair.org.  Perhaps next year will be the year that you help an underprivileged child go to summer camp.
