Vice President Biden Blunder

I was just sent this video:

httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJnJKE8kkmM

Apparently our new Vice President hasn’t had very much experience with the computer because he doesn’t know that it’s not a number but more an address.  You would think that with Obama constantly on his Blackberry that computer lingo would rub off of him and onto Biden.  Or Biden’s children or grandchildren would be talking computer talk around him.  I’ve never heard of a website be referred to as a number.  Welcome to 2009 Mr. Vice President.

Rod Blagojevich Impeachment Trial

Rod Blagojevich knows he did something wrong by trying to sell Barack Obama’s senate seat and he is being impeached.  He knows he’s up shit creek without a paddle so he’s trying to turn this whole trial around and make it look like these judges are asses for trying to impeach him for doing good things.

Such as his argument is that Bush changed the rules in Washington with health care and people in Illinois were without medical coverage so he helped them get their health care again and because of this I’m being impeached.

Elderly and infants needed flu shots and I worked hard to make sure those elderly and infants got their flu shots and because of this I’m being impeached.

LOL are you kidding me?  Uh, you’re not being impeached for that you ass.  You are being impeached for trying to sell a senate seat HELLO!  He just doesn’t want to admit that what he did was wrong.  He wants to totally ignore the whole reason he is being impeached and make it look like he’s being impeached for everything but that.  ASS!

Constitutional Oath of Office Gets Mangled

I watched this happen but I didn’t know that they had to do the oath of office twice.  The day after he swore in, Obama had to swear in again because it wasn’t legal.  That is according to Fox News that they had to do it again the next day.  I didn’t hear about that.

This is copied and pasted from www.chron.com:

“For a couple of smooth-talking constitutional experts, Chief Justice John Roberts and President Barack Obama had a hard time getting through the constitutional oath of office.

There was a false start by Obama, who started to respond before Roberts had completed the first phrase. Obama ended up saying the first two words — “I, Barack” — twice.

Then there was an awkward pause after Roberts prompted Obama with these words: “That I will execute the office of president to the United States faithfully.” The chief justice seemed to say “to” rather than “of,” but that was not the main problem. The main problem was that the word “faithfully” had floated upstream in the constitutional text, which actually says this: “That I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States.”

Obama seemed to realize this, pausing quizzically after saying, “that I will execute.”

Roberts gave it another try, getting closer but still not quite right with this: “Faithfully the office of president of the United States.” He omitted the word “execute.”

Obama now repeated Roberts’ initial error of putting “faithfully” at the end. Starting where he had abruptly paused, he said, “The office of president of the United States faithfully.”

From there, smooth sailing.

Constitutional law experts agree that the flub is insignificant. Yet two previous presidents — Calvin Coolidge and Chester Arthur — repeated the oath privately because of similar issues.”

Thank You Pepsi

photo715Last week, the American Family Association launched a boycott of PepsiCo. The AFA boycott is based, in part, on the PepsiCo Foundation’s support of PFLAG’s Straight for Equality in the Workplace project.

I got this email today from PFLAG saying to call the Pepsi Company to thank them and tell them that I will only buy Pepsi products from now on because I am a PFLAG member.

I will, but before I do I would just like to rant about something.  Why is it that the AFA hates gay people so much?  I mean, what did we do to them but be gay?  We didn’t hurt their chances of having equal rights like they did us.  So why are they boycotting a company for saying hey, we like gay people and we support them in the work place?  All gay people ever wanted was equal rights, to be treated like a human being and not be told that we can’t have a piece of paper that says that we are joined together as one.  That we can do our taxes as a couple and not individuals.

I’m just really confused.  Is this not the year 2009?  Have gay people been around throughout time?  Yes they have.  Michelangelo was gay.  I can’t think right now of all the gay people throughout history but there is record of gay people all throughout time.  Did you know that gay people were in the concentration camps in WWII?  Yes, where do you think the pink triangle came from?  While the jews wore a star of David to show that they are jewish, the gay people were forced to wear a pink triangle to show they were homosexual.  And did you know that during this time the jews treated the gays the same exact way the germans did?  Oh yes my friend, gay people have been persecuted as long as there has been persecution.

In the 1970’s gay people reclaimed the triangle, turned it upside down and used it as a symbol.  So this I tell the AFA.  We’re here, we’re queer, get used to it cause we’re not going away.  Gay people have been around since the dawn of time and we’re going to be here until the end of time so get over it.

Obama Stimulus

FOREX-Dollar boosted by Obama stimulus, ECB rate cut view

“U.S. President-elect Barack Obama, seeking as much as $310 billion in tax cuts, is proposing that about 40 percent of the package worth up to $775 billion be in the form of tax breaks.”

Barack Obama is looking to give the American people another stimulus package but not the way Bush did in 2008.  Instead this will be in the form of a tax break.  How does this work exactly?  If you are a regular low/middle class citizen working in fast food, grocery, retail, furniture sales etc. and you already have money taken out of your checks every week to pay taxes, how will this work?  Especially if every year you get money back from your taxes.

I can remember when I turned 18 I had to start filing my taxes and at tax season my sister took me to H&R Block and they did my taxes with my pay stubs and I usually got a few hundred dollars back.  This was in the 80’s though.  I can remember when I was 23 and went to H&R Block they said I owed $50.  I was really looking forward to getting some money because I was broke by that point.  I asked why I owed because they took taxes out of EVERY paycheck and they said it had to do with George Bush Sr., whatever he did to taxes in the early 90’s.  Although, I seem to recall that Clinton was president when this happened in 1994.

Anyway, if someone is on SSI, do they get a check at tax season or do they just have to deal with getting nothing?  I guess we will all find out in a few months.

Presidential Election

I was not going to post anything that has to do with the president at all because people get so uptight when it comes to discussing who our president is.  The Democrats always fight with the Republicans and vice versa and there is never a common ground.  They just get so mad and so this post is not going to spark up a debate.  At least here it’s not because comments are disabled.

The point of this post is to show you how as of this very minute the votes were calculated from the whole USA and of course my county of Kern.  Ok so all you have to do is click the little image and it will open up to full size.

Prop 8 Undecided

I’m still waiting to find out about prop 8.  I heard that it’s 55% for yes and 45% for no which is not good news but they said that it would probably end up in court again.  This issue is never going to die.  The christians are going to constantly be against us and it just shows gay people that we are still very much hated and we have so many more years before we will ever be accepted.  It just makes me so sick to my stomach that the people that I thought liked me ended up voting yes on this issue.  It let’s me know who really like me and who doesn’t and I will never look at them the same again.  I will also never step foot in a church again as long as I live knowing every single one of them voted yes on this.  A yes vote on prop 8 is a vote against gay people in general.  You can argue with me all you want but you know it’s true.

I Voted!

Well I finally finished filling out my ballot today.  We are cutting it very close because we are a mail only district and in order for our ballots to count we have to send them in early enough but all those props were so confusing that I just couldn’t understand them.  Some of them I could understand like 1a, 2, 3 and 8.  All of those I was able to understand.  Also there were some offices that I had no clue who the people were because I haven’t seen any commercials for them.  They can’t expect me to vote for them if they don’t give me an idea who they are.  Actually, I have seen some commercials but they didn’t put a huge impact on me.  I don’t watch the local debates.

Anyway, finally finished it and it’s going in the mail today, hopefully they will get it tomorrow then it will be counted by Monday so that on Tuesday my vote will count.

No on Prop 8

I need to ask for your help. There is an unfair ballot proposition that, if passed, will take away my fundamental rights. This is really important to me. Will you help me defeat Prop. 8?

Prop. 8 would eliminate the right to marry for same-sex couples. I trust you agree that eliminating fundamental rights – from anyone – is just wrong.

I hope you are already planning to vote NO. If you are, there are three things you can do below.

But just in case you’re unsure, I want you to know the real deal.

Virtually every major paper in California is against Prop 8. The L.A. Times says it is “a drastic step to strip people of rights.” La Opinión called Prop 8 “an unnecessary initiative”. The San Diego Union Tribune wrote that Prop 8 “offends many Californians’ sense of fairness.”

If that doesn’t convince you, I hope you’ll email me so we can talk about this.

If you plan to vote NO, there are a few easy things to help ensure it is defeated.

  1. Email everyone you know and care about and get them to help us defeat Prop 8.  Send them a message at  http://noonprop8.com/messages?r=friend.  You can quickly and easily send messages.
  2. Make a donation. The other side has raised over $10 million more than us.  They are using their war chest to spread lies and misinformation. Your donation will help us reach undecided voters who need to hear that Prop. 8 is wrong and unfair. http://noonprop8.com/donate?r=friend.
  3. Volunteer your time. Sign up to call undecided voters or help out in field offices across the state. http://noonprop8.com/volunteer?r=friend.

Thank you for doing all you can to defeat Prop. 8.

Here are some videos that I personally have not seen on TV and I really don’t know why.

New York County Prints ‘Barack Osama’ on Ballots

OMG Too funny!

New York county prints ‘Barack Osama’ on ballots

I just heard this on the news on the living room tv.  Only 300 people got this ballot with Barack Osama written on it and it got by 3 rounds of proof readers.  They said it was an honest mistake, no ill intentions.  Do you think it was a simple typo or if it was intentional?
