You Are All Supporting Gay Rights Right Now

From 1 Million Moms against One Million Moms

Oreo Cookies decided to create a new graphic of their famous cookie, but stacked with rainbow colored cream.  One Million Moms has decided that Oreo, owned by Kraft, needs to be boycotted.  I mean, we can’t eat gay cookies now can we?  Then I saw the image above posted by 1 Million Moms against One Million Moms and it really got me to thinking.  Just about everything you can buy in the store is gay friendly.

For example, here is a (not alphabetical) HUGE list of LGBT friendly companies!!!  I mean, if they are going to boycott Kraft because they support gay rights, then they might as well boycott everything else in the world.

Like, what phone company do you do business with?  I hope you don’t have AT&T, Bell South, Alcatel or Sprint because guess what, they are in the list.  Verizon isn’t in that list but they should be because I know that they are pro-gay.  God forbid your cell phone is made by Motorola because guess what?  They support gays, heck they are responsible for you being able to use a cell phone.  I sure hope you aren’t using an iPhone because Apple is gay friendly.  Which reminds me, what Mp3 player are you using?  I hope it’s not an iPod.  God forbid you have an iPad or a Macintosh computer or even a Windows based computer or tablet for that matter.

Do you know what a CPU is?  It is the processor which is what makes your computer and other electronic device boot up.  Basically, it’s the brain of your computer.  Without it, your computer won’t even turn on.  Do you know who invented it?  A gay person!  Oh you didn’t know?  His name was Alan Turing.  So if you hate gay people so much, then you might as well put your desktop/laptop computer, tablet or all other electronic devices up for sale at the next yard sale so you can get your money back.  When I say all, I’m not just talking about your computer or cell phone, oh no, I’m talking about your calculators, your electronic watches your HDTV that you just bought for your living room and anything else that is computer operated.

If computers are gay because of the CPU then I have news for you, all of your money is gay too.  Yeah, how do you think they make money?  Computers!  And your bank statements that come in the mail were printed from a computer not to mention that they know how much money you have in the bank because they use a computer.

I can’t forget to mention that if you are reading this because you found the link on Facebook, you are supporting gay equality because guess what kiddies, Facebook is gay friendly.  You didn’t know?  So is Twitter.  What  browser are you using?  Cause I hope it’s not Google Chrome, Yahoo or an Internet Explorer based browser.

You know what, you might as well go live with the Amish because everything you buy at the grocery store is gay, including the computers they use to ring up your total.  So unless they use pen and paper to write it all down and use an abacus to ring your groceries up, you are supporting gay rights and equality.

Speaking of the Amish, they don’t have any electronic devices, they don’t even have cars.  Guess what, cars are also gay.  So if you drive a car, you are supporting gay rights equality.  Every time you fill your gas tank you are supporting gay rights too because BP and Chevron are pro-LGBT.  I sure hope you don’t have car insurance because AAA, Esurance, Prudential and Allstate all support LGBT.

You can’t escape it, you are all supporting gay people as we speak.  It’s all around you folks, the air you breathe is gay air because guess what?  If God created the world as you say he did, he also created gay people, so by living in this world, you are breathing gay air and you are supporting gay rights.

I’m sure you have already forgotten about that HUGE list of LGBT friendly companies!!! so there it is again.  Go ahead, read it, read every single company that supports gay people.  So take a deep breath and just accept the fact that you cannot boycott everything unless you plan on living in a house that you had to build yourself from trees you had to manually cut because all of the electronics used to cut the trees to build your houses with had a CPU in them.

Yeah so good luck with that boycott.  Let me know how it worked out for ya.  Of course you can’t, what was I thinking, you can’t contact me at all because you would need to buy paper and envelopes, that is unless you plan on making them from the sawdust and wood shavings that came out of the tree when you built your cabin in the woods.

Just a note of clarification, I know not all people of faith are as wacky as the fundamentalists like the Westboro Baptist Church or the One Million Moms who are really more like 47k.  So I’m not bashing anyone’s religion, I’m just saying this to those who are homophobic who want to boycott because of LGBT rights and equality.  I don’t care what religion you follow or if you don’t follow any religion.  Basically, if you are not anti-gay, then this isn’t for you.  This is for those crazy people who think that it’s OK to take away the rights of their fellow human beings like me.

Google Chromebox

I guess I am so far out of the loop with Google tech because I had no idea this even existed until tonight.

A friend of mine told me she didn’t have a computer tonight, she uses the internet right from her cell phone.  I told her that I was surprised, that I thought every household in America had a computer by now.  I was about to tell her that they are so cheap now that you can get a Google Chrome laptop for $299, but wanted to back it up with a link, so I Googled “Chromebook” and found the Chromebook page which also had a link to the Chromebox.  My mind was blown away.

Ok so here are the specs.

  • Intel® Core™ processor
  • 4 GB RAM
  • Built-in dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n
  • Gigabit ethernet
  • 6 USB 2.0 ports
  • 2x DisplayPort++ Output (compatible with HDMI, DVI, VGA)
  • DVI-I single link output (compatible with VGA)
  • Bluetooth 3.0™ compatible
  • Kensington™ key lock compatible

The specs don’t say that it also has a 16GB hard drive which doesn’t seem like a lot, but this is an internet based computer only, you can’t install anything on it*.  You turn it on and you are automatically connected to the internet.  Actually, it takes 7 seconds to boot up into the internet.  I mean, it’s like you turn it on and BAM instant websites.  So the only reason you even need a hard drive is for downloading pictures of your friends and family and/or music.  I mean, that’s all I download with my Chromebook *wink*.

The best part about this baby is that if you have an HDTV, just plug it into your television with the HDMI cable.  You can have it sit right next to or on top of your cable box and/or video game consoles, and then have the keyboard and mouse on your living room table, or wherever it is that your HDTV lives.  You could also buy an external monitor and put it on your desk if that is what you wish I suppose, although I think it would be cool to have it hooked up to the TV instead.

Why get this instead of a regular computer?  Well, some people ONLY go onto websites to look at their email or Facebook or Twitter.  Why buy an expensive gaming machine just to check your email and to get into political rants with your Aunt Beverly?  You can do everything with the Chromebox that you can do with a regular desktop.  For example, you can write a book, yes you heard me, you can write a book using Google Documents.  You can, like I said earlier read your email, you can go on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, you can even play games.  Yes, the Chrome Web Store has games like Angry Birds, Bejeweled, Crash Bandicoot among many others.  You can check the news and the weather, you can even watch Netflix movies or even watch your favorite TV shows on Hulu.

Now aren’t you glad you follow my blog posts?

I love Google Chrome not just because it’s (IMO) the fastest browser available, but also because they were gracious enough to include me in their Chromebook pilot test “CR-48” which I love and have been using ever since they sent it to me in mid-December 2010.  I went several months last year without my desktop and I wouldn’t have had a computer had it not been for Google for sending it to me.  I had to do everything on the Chromebook from writing the first half of my book, to email and twitter and Facebook, I even watched the first 3 seasons of Sliders on Hulu with it.  So yeah, thanks Google for that.

Note: *When I say you can’t install anything on it, I mean like Microsoft Word or Lord of the Rings Online.  They have an app store where you can download and install apps and extensions.

My New Eyeglasses

I have needed new glasses for a very long time.  The glasses that I am wearing now are old, I got them in February 2006 so I have been due for a new pair for quite some time.  My main issue with my glasses is that they are scratched up beyond repair and I just can’t stand looking through them anymore.

Glasses are very expensive and Medi-Cal doesn’t cover glasses anymore.  I wanted to buy them at a place that I can try the glasses on, but they are too expensive.  Sears has a sale that is 2 pair for $99.99 which include bifocals, but nothing else and I wear prisms.  It was a good thing that I got an email today warning me that the sale that Eye Buy Direct has for buy one get one free is ending today.

I have wanted to buy glasses online, but nobody had prisms, but now they do thank goodness so I bought a pair.  The only thing about buying glasses online is that you can’t try them on to make sure they are a good fit, but thanks to webcams and uploading your picture, you can try them on.  Check it out, this is the pair of glasses I bought from them for $29.95 +$19 for the bifocals and +$19 for the prisms.

See, you can try them on.  They don’t look too bad I don’t think.  The price after the prisms and bifocals was $67.95 plus shipping it came to $72.90.  I didn’t get the free pair because that only covers the glasses, it doesn’t cover the prisms and bifocals so I had to just buy 1 pair.  I have been waiting to buy new glasses because I couldn’t afford them, but I withdrew the money I had in my SocialSpark account from getting paid to blog so I could buy them.

They have a code that I can give out for people to save 15% on their order which is IFAEUKIITB.  If you use that code, then I will get $5 in loyalty dollars which I can use to buy a pair of sports sunglasses with my prescription so I can ride my bike again with sunglasses on.

I don’t know how long it will take for my new glasses to come, but I look forward to a new pair.  I can’t even tell you how sick and tired I am of the glasses I am wearing now.  The metal irritates my skin and the deep pits and scratches are really annoying to look at 16 hours a day lol.

YAY NEW GLASSES WOOHOO!!!  I hope they don’t take too long hehe.

Oh and in case you are wondering, no I did not get paid to write this post, it would’ve been cool if I did though cause maybe I would’ve gotten a discount, yeah right lol.

Update: 1:10am – I got this email: “We are pleased to advise that work on your new pair of prescription eyeglasses has begun! Our team is now allocating the selected frame(s) and lenses according to your particular needs. We expect work to last a couple of days and we will be sending you your new eyeglasses soon!”  YAY!

Threatening Letter From Undisclosed Website To Remove Unauthorized Link

The last time I blogged, I spoke about a threatening letter I received from a company who had paid me to blog through Blogsvertise.  I wasn’t going to post the actual letter because I didn’t want to get sued, however, I figured if I blacked the websites name and their address, no harm would come to me.  Hopefully.  So here it is.  Oh, I don’t simply black things out, I rainbow them out LMAO.

You can click it for a larger view.

I got threatened by a company that paid me to blog for them

I began writing this blog in 2007 because, well, because I could.  I was putting status updates on my home page, but then decided to create a WordPress blog and use that instead.  My main goal was just to give simple updates of what was going on in my life so that friends and family could see.  I could have used MySpace back then, but I preferred using my blog instead.

I believe it was in November of 2009 when I first signed up with Blogsvertise to get paid to blog.  They would send me an offer and I would write-up a post about a website or the product and/or service available on a website and I would get paid $9-$15 after 30 days if the post was still there.

My main goal was to help me pay for my website hosting every month and my domain every year, it wasn’t meant to give me an income.

When I signed up with Blogsvertise, I also signed up with PayPerPost from IZEA.  A few months down the road I signed up with IZEA’s Social Spark.  I don’t get a lot of offers, but I get enough that I am able to pay for my hosting, domain and even help pay for my groceries when I run out of money at the end of the month since I am on disability.

So in early February 2011, I got an offer from Blogsvertise to write a post for a certain website which I cannot name, but let’s just say they have a few OFFERS available on their website if you catch my meaning.  I don’t normally do a post if it’s less than $9 or $10 because, well why should I?  I can afford to be picky because again, this isn’t an income.  They offered a measly $7.50 for the same amount of work as a $9, $10 or $50 post.  I liked their website product/service so I did it.

When I write-up a post, I don’t delete it after I get paid a month later because I don’t think it’s fair to the company to only get 1 month of advertisements, I like to continue to offer them free advertisement just because that’s how nice of a guy I am.  Ok, it’s really because I just don’t think about it, let’s call it laziness.

I got a letter in the mail yesterday from unsaid website threatening to take legal action against my web host company if I don’t remove the “Unauthorized link.”  I was gobsmacked because they have a thing on their website telling people to share their website with a “LINK.”  Why is it ok for someone to share the link, but I’m not allowed to share the link anymore?  I don’t get it.

So what I did was I immediately removed the post that I had written for them, along with every other paid blog post that I had already gotten paid for from Blogsvertise, you know, just in case.  Their letter also said that I have to write them a letter telling them that I removed their link.  In my letter I told them that not only did I remove the link/ad, but I am also no longer going to use their website and I am not going to recommend their website to friends and family anymore.  Not that I ever did, but now I definitely won’t.

In addition to my letter, I also sent them a printout from Blogsvertise and circled the amount of money I got paid for the ad so they will see it, and I sent them a copy of their original letter too.

I have PTSD from my childhood (yeah I know, I’m 42, those should be gone but their not) so I have panic attacks that I’ve had since childhood, and thanks to their letter I got a major panic attack.  I had to take two Klonopins just to calm myself down.  I think one would have sufficed, but I was walking on sunshine with the two lol.

When I got the letter, I emailed Blogsvertise and of course they never responded.  I also tweeted @Izealove asking about old posts and they haven’t responded either.  I left all the IZEA posts because they don’t have a Google Page Rank requirement like Blogsvertise does, which I think is the reason this happened, because my page rank dropped from 3 to 2.

At any rate, my Ad’s went down and it is a good possibility that I am going to quit using Blogsvertise because of this.  I will stay with IZEA primarily because they have way better opps.  IZEA has Sprint, TGIFridays, Lenovo, Kia, AM/PM among other major companies.  Plus they pay better lol.

I don’t want to speculate on why they made the decision to send me that threatening letter, but I have a feeling it’s a homophobia issue.  I mean, why is it ok for everyone else to link to their website, but not my website?  I mean I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that I’m right.

Well, that is all I have to say about that.  I am done with their company forever.  If I want to get good “offers” on coupons, I will use Gaypon from now on.  At least they like me, they are following my book on Twitter lol.

UPDATE: I finally got 2 emails from Blogsvertise today.  I sent them both the original letter sent to me by the company who wants to take legal action against my web host so they can deal with it now.  I am still going to blog for them because I really do like the opps they send me, not all of them but most of them, but it’s not fair to them to stop working for them when this one company threatens me.  So I think I overreacted a bit when I said that I was going to drop them.  What I like about them is that when the 30 day comes, they don’t make me wait until I have $50 in my account like the other websites do, they will deposit the $10 or even $7.50 right into my PayPal account which gives me that extra few dollars I need when I’m in a pinch at the end of the month.  So I will continue working with them because they really are a good company.

I am still waiting for this company to contact me though.  See, they sent me the letter on the 14th and I got it on the 18th and sent my response letter out on the 19th.  Well, they said I had 7 days from the date of their letter to respond, well, that means on the 19th, I only had 2 days to get that letter to them.  It took their letter 4 days to get to me because of the weekend, will my letter get to them in 2 days?  If not, will they take action on the 7th day despite the fact that I removed the link?  Or if they got my letter, will they read it immediately, or will it sit on someones desk for a couple of days unopened?

If you no longer see my blog, it’s because my web host took it down.  If that happens then I guess it was fun while it lasted…  If it does happen I will just move my domain over to another host.  I have my domain with a different company, so of course I will just get hosting with them.  I hope that doesn’t happen though because I will end up with a blank slate.  I will have to start all over from scratch.  UGH!  Let’s hope it doesn’t come down to that though.

So… I guess the only thing left to do now is start copying my entire website using an FTP program, you know, just in case.

Christmas Yarn That I Can’t Use

I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome a few years ago after crocheting for 20 years.  I didn’t crochet every day, but the last few years that I was able to crochet, let’s just say I crocheted a lot and it ruined my hands.  Although I cannot say if that is what ruined my hands, but when I crochet, I get numbness in both hands and my right hand gets pinching in the palm.

I haven’t crocheted for several years because when I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, I decided I would stop crocheting to give my hands time to rest and heal so that some day I might be able to crochet again.  That some day has come and I still can’t crochet.

Last week I gave away all of my yarn to someone who needs it more than I do.  I decided that I didn’t want to part with everything, so I kept the Christmas Ombre yarn which is a color that has not been made in at least 12 years that I know of, but I’m sure it hasn’t been made in more than 12 or 15 years.  I have held onto this yarn because I have wanted to make a Christmas blanket and had hoped that I could, but I just don’t see that happening.

Last night I decided that I was going to make one granny square.  I crocheted the chain, then did a slip stitch and began making a cluster and both of my hands went numb right away and I started to feel the pinching in my right palm.  I thought, screw that, I’m going to make this square if it’s the last thing I do, but I couldn’t do it.  I did make 3 rounds, but had to undo the whole thing because I decided against clusters, I wanted to make the clusters 3 double crochet stitches instead, but I couldn’t do it because of my hands.  It is sitting on my desk with the 8 chain round and 3 chain and 2 double crochets to make the first cluster, that’s it.

Why does it have to be this way?  I have been good, I haven’t been a bad person, why can’t I make a simple granny square?  Is it too much to ask?  I just want to make a simple blanket, why can’t I do it?  I feel like my skill has been amputated and that I am useless, not that I was very useful before, but I’m even less useful now.

Here I can sit typing out a post that is at count 411 words, but I can’t crochet one simple square.  It isn’t fair!  Why is it that my carpal tunnel syndrome doesn’t apply to typing?  Not that I want that to be taken away from me too, but why is it I can do one thing with my hands, but not the other?  I don’t get it.

Ok, whatever, I am going to make this blanket.  I can suffer the pain enough to do one simple square every day until I have all of the squares that are needed to make a blanket.  Every time I complete a square, I can sew it to the one I did the day before, this way there won’t just be a ton of squares with no purpose.  I think I can certainly accomplish that… right?

So this is my new project, wish me luck!  I’m gonna need it lol.

Don’t Be Tardy For The Wedding

I am not a huge reality TV fan, well unless it’s Kathy Griffin’s My Life on the D-List.  I didn’t like all of the Real Housewives shows because I just can’t take the drama.  I have a low threshold for people screaming at the top of their lungs at each other.

I did watch and love a few of the Real Housewives shows though.  I didn’t watch the first season of Atlanta, but I did see a few episodes here and there.  I do love Kim Zolciak though because, well, she looks like a real life Barbie doll.  She has beautiful hair, even though they are all wigs, but can I just say that I love her without her wigs too?  She has a rack that won’t quit, yeah I said it, I know I’m gay but I would motorboat that shiznit.

When I heard that she was going to have a reality show based on her preparations to marry hunk of the century Kroy Biermann, I had to watch.  I loved that it had a little bit of drama in it, but I hated that the drama came from her mother.  I know mothers are supposed to be a little crazy, but I mean come on this woman took the cake.  She stole Kim’s thunder as her last act of crazy.

If you didn’t see it, here is how it went down.  Kim’s mother and I guess her sister, Kim’s aunt, decided they had to go use the bathroom, but they refused to use the porta potty that Kim had paid $6000 for.  They figured they were too good to use a $6000 toilet so they had to break the rules just to take a piss.  They went to the door to the house and the security guard told them they had to use the porta potty and they got high and mighty with him and screamed “I’m Kim’s mother and this is her aunt” and “I will burn down this house if I have to!”

Seriously?  They couldn’t just use the porta potty?  I mean, I saw the porta potty that they rented when they looked at it.  It was bigger than our bathroom AND it had an attendant to boot!  She is too good for that?

So while they were in the bathroom upstairs, they were trash talking Kim and Kroy.  I mean what nerve!  They break the rules then go and trash talk the bride and the groom and act as if they are gods.  Then she finds out that the police have been called to escort them out so she goes back to the party and tells people that she is being kicked out and she doesn’t know why.  When someone asks her where Kim is, she says “She’s behind all of it, with Kroy.”

Really?  I mean this woman is a liar, manipulator and an instigator.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Kim never spoke to her mother again after that.  Watch the video.

http://www.bravotv.com/video/embed/?/_vid18615847

OMG I am just so thankful that I never have to go through that, not marriage but having a mother to act like that at my wedding.  Especially when it’s on TV!  UGH!

But Kim and Kroy were calm, they didn’t make a huge deal about it ruining the whole night.  They showed them cutting the cake while her mother was being escorted out, I’m sure it was edited to look that way, but who really knows for sure.  Their wedding was a success and the whole season was fun to watch and I’m glad I didn’t miss it.

Now, let’s get back to me boycotting weddings until gay people are allowed to get married shall we?  LOL

Kia Rio Scavenger Hunt

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kia Rio for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Can you imagine being chosen to take part in a Kia Rio Scavenger Hunt to meet a famous celebrity in Los Angeles.  Wouldn’t that be a hoot?  These people had the opportunity so they started at the famous Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round which has been a historic landmark since 1937.  Did you know that that is where Walt Disney brought his children before he built Disneyland?

They went to Amoeba Records which is the most famous historic music store in Los Angeles.  Hmmm, I didn’t even know they still had record stores.  Apparently you can buy all of your music there on Vinyl, CD’s and Tapes.  No 8-track?  Next stop, Rodeo Drive where they had to count how many palm trees there were.  That’s not easy to do because you know you can get distracted easily by all the pretty women…  They got to eat at Pink’s Hot Dogs.  I’ve been there, the hot dogs are pretty good I must say.  Their final destination was the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd. where they met their celebrity Christina Milian.

That was a ride, wasn’t it?  I love scavenger hunts and that one was pretty good.  I think it would be cool to go on a scavenger hunt like that to meet a favorite celebrity.  If you were given the chance, which celebrity would you like to meet?  I can think of a few, but I think the one that I would most like to meet is Neil Patrick Harris.  I just think he’s awesome.

Nevermind the scavenger hunt, can you imagine driving a Kia Rio?  They have such awesome features like the USB Jack, bluetooth, navigation, rear camera and most notable UVO Technology from Microsoft.  You know you can have one right?  Just go to the Rio Explorer Page and check out their new 2013 5-door cars.  I think it’s an awesome piece of machinery, I think they should just call it a 5-door awesome.  But that’s just me.

If you and a friend could Zip and Dash anywhere, where woud it be?  I would love to take this car to the beach, any beach is fine by me.

Sliders Season 4&5 on Netflix

I watched the first 3 seasons of Sliders on Hulu because I missed it when it originally aired.  Unfortunately they didn’t have seasons 4 and 5.  I found it on Netflix, but I hate watching tv shows on my computer.  I had my computer plugged into the TV when I watched Caprica, but that was a pain because it was always going out of sync.  I got a new Sony Blu-Ray player for my birthday so I took that as the perfect opportunity to finally watch Sliders because the Blu-Ray player has internet channels like Netflix and Hulu Plus among others.

I was sad when the professor died in the 3rd season and I wasn’t sure if I would like the new girl whose planet blew up and she was forced to go with the sliders, but I found that I fell in love with her in season 4.  I was really sad that Wade wasn’t in season 4, but I was thrilled that Charlie O’Connell, Jerry O’Connell’s real life brother joined the cast as his brother Colin Mallory.  I loved the 4th season of Sliders.  I have to admit that I spent a LOT of time looking at Charlie, he is hot LOL.

I have already seen the first few episodes of the 5th and final season of Sliders and I think it’s ok, but I’m kinda miffed that Jerry and Charlie O’Connell aren’t in it anymore.  I thought that it was lame that they replaced Quinn with his alternate universe version who doesn’t look a thing like him, like he’s a Quinn’s fraternal twin LOL.

Tembi Locke (from Eureka) is in season 5 as a scientist named Dr. Diana Davis.  I guess since our new Quinn isn’t a genius, they needed to add another genius to the cast to do the things this new Quinn cannot do.  And they aren’t calling him Q-ball or even Quinn, they are calling him Mallory.

I almost didn’t watch season 5 because the only person that is left in the show is Rembrandt, but on the other hand, I love that Tembi Locke is in it so I think I will keep watching it until the end.

What is the plot of this new cast anyway?  I mean, the plot was originally to find their way back to their own universe, but now Rembrandt is the only one who wants to find his own, but they were already there and it has been taken over by an alien species known as the Kromags.  His world is now ruined so he has no reason to go back, except for wanting to be with his family of course.  Maggie has no home so wherever she goes is home.  Diana and Mallory, well I don’t know if they even want to go back to their home.  So what is the purpose now besides trying to stop the Kromags?

Anyway, I guess I will find out when I finish the 5th season.  I think it’s still a good show despite the fact that the original cast is all gone and it was replaced with 3 new people.  I’m glad at least one of them is still original lol.

By the way, can I just say how Maggie looks almost exactly like the woman who plays the evil queen in ABC’s Once Upon A Time?  I already checked, they aren’t the same person, but they could be twins.  Hmmmm, twins from a different universe perhaps?

Wills and Estate Laws

Owning property is a very big responsibility, especially if you have a huge family, you are going to need a will to make sure that everyone gets what you want them to have.  Even if you are young because you never know when your time will come.  I know it’s a grim thought, but it has always been something that I have had to worry about because I have some family members who would clear my room out in 2 minutes like a pack of wolves and leave nothing but bones for Darrin despite the fact that our bridges have all burned to the ground.  Luckily I don’t own property.

If you are in Barrie and Toronto Canada, Stewart Esten Law Firm is the way to go.  They have experienced estate lawyers who are ready to help you create your will, power of attorney and the administration of your estate or the estate of a loved one who has recently passed.

I am not too familiar with estate law, it is way too complicated for me.  I know about trusts because Chips mother had created a trust before she passed away.  She had to make someone the executor of the trust to take care of all of the bills for all of the houses that she owned, and any money that was made on the sale of any property went into the trust.  The rent for the houses goes into the trust and that pays for the mortgage and any upkeep of the houses.  I’m not sure if an estate will is the same, but I’m pretty sure it is.

At any rate, if you own property and you have family members who you know are going to fight over every little thing, be sure to have a will so you know everyone is getting what you want them to have.

Funny story, I think my mother was a bit psychic because when I was 19 she told me that I need to make out a will so that when the day comes that I have burned all of my bridges with my sisters, I can will them $1 so they cannot contest the will.  Isn’t that funny that she would tell me that?
